The Town motto of Blackpool is Progress and here at Blackpool News – that’s what we intend to do.
Blackpool is known best for it’s tower – but it’s construction didn’t come easy or cheap. It took one visionary and a whole army of financial backers to get that idea off the ground – and 200 years later it’s still attracting visitors.
Blackpool News could be the equivalent local online beacon – attracting millions of visitors a year to marvel at it’s local news offerings and stunning views – Keeping Blackpool firmly on the digital map and in the headlines for good reasons.
Being independent – we don’t have to bow down to corporate pressure or political influence in our reporting because of where our funding comes from.
But that freedom comes with a cost.
Someone needs to foot the bill.
We want to keep our content free to read – It’s been a bug bear of ours for years – being forced by mainstream news sites to consent to lengthy cookie policies or advertising contracts that we don’t even read – just to find a tiny bit more news than was in the facebook leader…
Dirty tricks for clicks by desperate media outlets.
With your help – our local community – we can rise above the rest and won’t need the dirty tricks that others use.
