Earlier this week Blackpool Council announced that the Airshow that had been planned for 2021 has been cancelled.
It was also announced earlier that both Southport and Sunderland airshows have also cancelled leading many to believe that the red arrows may not be seen in our skies again this year at an air display.
In a statement on their facbeook Blackpool Council Wrote
OFFICIAL BLACKPOOL AIR SHOW UPDATE
It is with sadness we share the announcement that the Blackpool Air Show 2021 has been cancelled. Despite the gradual easing of lockdown measures and the progress made on vaccinations, it is felt that there is still too much uncertainty relating to the staging of mass events during the summer months, making it incredibly difficult to plan ahead.
We know it’s not the news you all want to hear. However, Blackpool Air Show will be back and provisional arrangements have been made for the 2022 event to be staged over the weekend of August 6 and 7, so make sure you mark it in your calendar!
